not every story in this collection was a winner, but damn can ottessa moshfegh write a such a specific, fascinatingly gross character (everyone knows this by now). super readable and I think benefits from being read in succession, where you can pick up recurring motifs & devices. overall enjoyable but sometimes I wanted a bit more
