I was so happy to continue with Basitan and Kat's story after the end of Kiss of Iron and so much happens now that they are in Elfhame. The personal growth of both characters was huge and I loved the angst between them both! We also got to find out some interesting things about Bastian.... As before, some serious themes were touched on in such an expert way that they felt so authentic. I loved all the side characters we got to meet and will definitely be reading the books about their origin stories! I love the world and the Fae lore and all the twists and turns throughout. That ending has me needing the next book ASAP!
