A Touch of Darkness
by Scarlett St. Clair
This book was way more fun than I was expecting it to be!
I put off reading this one for a long time because I was sceptical of the idea of a story about Greek gods happening in the modern world, but it was actually great! I will definitely continue reading the rest of the series.
The story was fun, the characters were cute, and there was lots of spice with never a dull moment.
I struggled with how many stars to give it. It was exactly what I wanted/needed at the time. It was fluffy and also steamy and it didn't require much brainpower to read. (i.e. I didn't have to make a character list or memorize a map or magic system just to understand what was going on). However, I do feel like something was lacking in the writing/story that I can't quite put my finger on. My lack of emotional connection to the main character ultimately made me decide on 4 stars. If the other reviews are any indication... I suspect, Hades' POV won't disappoint in that regard.
