This one gets a five stars but is a problematic fave, for sure. If only we could get rid of the offensive costume this book would be an absolute classic.
I begged my parents for this book after seeing it on Reading Rainbow as a kid, and rediscovering it 30ish years later is pretty amazing because a) it's 80s-tastic and b) it's hilariously on brand for me because I love Halloween and have always been fascinated with aliens. Plus the cute little alien does math and wears a scarf with panache.
