Beastly Bones by William Ritter
4.0

Historical whodunnits have to be one of my top favorite kinds of books. Throw in a little bit of fantasy and a strong female character and I'm sold for sure. After quite enjoying Jackaby last year, I was excited to read the sequel, and I was not disappointed. The world expands a little bit in this one, as Abigail and R.F. Jackaby are called out to Gad's Valley to investigate some missing dinosaur bones and eventually a series of murders. I didn't guess the outcome, but when it was all said and done I felt like I should have been able to see it coming.

I'm also very excited for Ghostly Echoes, as the plot for that one was teased a bit throughout the story in Beastly Bones.

Longer review to come.
