Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee

1.0

This book doesn't deserve to be called a sequel to an iconic book like To Kill a Mockingbird. It's regressive, goes against everything that book stood for. It's just a tirade justifying a racist mentality. Atticus didn't raise Scout to be a confused, orthodox and impatient girl who jumps to conclusions at the split of a second. Atticus would never grow old to be a racist - not the character created in the original book.
I don't know if I'm annoyed at having to go through this boring ordeal in hope of it redeeming itself eventually or if I'm upset for my perfect father image being tainted or just simply disappointed.
This shouldn't have been created. I wish I hadn't read it.
