Lips Touch
by Laini Taylor
Buddy read with Vippi! :3
Goblin fruit: 3 stars
I liked it, but I wish it was longer. I wanted to get to know Kizzy's family for example. Anyway, I love Taylor's writing style and her imagination, so I quite liked it.
Spicy little curses: 4.5 stars
This short story was so so beautiful. A little masterpiece. I loved the atmosphere, the idea itself and the writing. This one had a real ending and a great concept to begin with. If I had some doubts yesterday, I have no more today after reading this one. Laini has such a marvelous imagination.
Hatchling: 4.5 stars
I think that my favourite short story might still be Spicy little curses such as these but this one was beautiful too. It was a bit too long and confusing at first but in the end it was wonderful.
“Like a magpie, I am a scavenger of shiny things: fairy tales, dead languages, weird folk beliefs, fascinating religions, and more.”
That quote sums up what Laini does in her books. Every detail has a meaning and is marvelous and quirky itself. The result is, as always, stunning.
