This book is about the aftermath of a disastrous submarine mission undertaken by Leah. It switches between Leah's perspective in the submarine and Miri's perspective. Both perspectives meander from past to present, showing glimpses of their childhood, the deaths of their parents, their early relationship and married life.

The writing in the book is beautiful and immersive. I loved the story, but felt it came to an end too soon. I wanted one more chapter from Miri and Leah.
