I am amazed I finished this book. Seriously. It was so slow and I am now so confused as to how this is going to be translated into a movie. Quinn is not a female lead to be proud of, I definitely would not want to be friends with her or emulate her. The guys aren't much better. Things go wrong, turn to drugs. For her mother, things go wrong, turn to alcohol. OK. We get it, substance abuse is a part of this book, without really being part of the story.
And the story. So much could have been done with it and I kept waiting for it to come. But no, that didn't happen. As I write this I feel like my 3 star rating is pretty generous, but I don't have a half-point system, so that's that.
No characters to feel for, to story to relate to, no pressing concerns about what would happen, so what's to keep me going to the rest of the series? Well, nothing. I will not continue reading the rest of the books, I can't imagine sitting through a movie for this either, unless the characters are as good looking as we are told time and time again.
