The End of Eternity
by Isaac Asimov
Sci-Fi has never been my cup of tea. It still is not. I am willing to say that this is a good book. Asimov, obviously, had a brilliant mind. However, I found the time travel concepts hard to wrap my mind around, and the characters a little flat. I expect to connect with at least one character in a story, and there was nothing to connect with here. The "hero," if you will, is self-centric and a little off-putting. His (boring) love interest aside, everyone else is viewed more or less as a villain. The only truly interesting character is Senior Computer Twissel. I think a book about Twissel would have been more captivating.
In short: I was bored. But I always try something new more than once, so I plan to give Asimov's robot series a go.
