Reminiscent of Beauty and the Beast– When I read that tag I knew I had to give this story a try. Oh, how I loved it! It was such a cozy read, like a comfort drink. It was filled with heartache, hope, trials, fears, and ultimately, love. While reading it I could feel Otis’ grief, he had been through so much! Sadie was just what he needed, a little bit of sunshine in his dark world. The interaction between the two was absolutely adorable. I loved reading the letters that Otis and Sadie wrote to each other, they made me smile. The mystery Otis uncovers added another layer to the story that kept me invested. I really enjoyed this and will be checking out more books by Rachel Fordham.
