not bad but not good. go for it if you like light-hearted unserious romcoms (though tbh there are definitely better out there). I won't stop anyone or say no one would like it, but i certainly didn't and i wouldn't in good conscious seriously recommend it to anyone i know. I bought it impulsively because the book i wanted to buy wasn't in stock, and i regret doing that. I got through the first couple of pages and then persevered to finish reading this book only because I regretted buying it and since i spent money on it, i was going to get my worth out of it. i didn't want it to sit there, taunting me. now it taunts me because i wasted my time on it. i thought  occasionally cute, but overall ridiculous. tell us again just how big what's-his-name is, please. turns out we need it to balance out the inordinate amount of time spent impressing upon readers just how tiny lucy is. evidently this book is not for me. severely disappointed in ever coming across it.

*i said it was fast-paced because i had to choose an option and don't particularly remember. i'm 12 books in to The Wheel of Time atm, do not trust my frame of reference for what constitutes a 'fast-paced' book
