Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage

4.0

Thank you to St. Martin's Press for the Advance Reader's Edition of this book. I really had to psyche myself up to start reading this book. I am not a fan of the horror genre, but "Baby Teeth" turned out to be more of a psychological thriller, and one that kept me up for half of the night, as I was unable to stop reading.

The plot of this story is twisted. What would happen if your cute seven year old child turned out to be totally demented and wanted to kill you, the mother who had given birth to her? This was such a unique premise for a story and told so skillfully from both the mother and the daughter's point of view. The hapless father, who only saw his daughter's angelic side, really frustrated me throughout the story, but it didn't stop me reading through to the end.

If you are looking for something totally different and unique, give this book a try. You won't soon forget it. And to the artist who designed the cover art, wow! Brilliant work!
