I started reading this book and then had to take a long break because I of library wait lines. Please keep this in mind while you read my review.
The main female character Inez was a ride. She made decisions without thinking too much about it. Then left everyone around her to clean up the mess. In the first book she was quick to trust people and that came to backfire once more in the second book.
The main male charter Whit Hayes was likeable. I do not like what he did towards the beginning, but I think he redeemed himself by the end.
I wish there was more magic in this book. It felt lack luster compared to the first book.
Ibanez surely knows how to keep people on their toes.
The beginning of this book felt a bit too slow, yet it definitely picks up by the end.
I love all the descriptive details it really helped paint a picture for each scene.
On a spice level I would say medium or gentle open door.
