Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams by Matthew Walker

4.0

4.5 Excellent, informative, and fairly terrifying in places. I should get a paper copy to flip through for reference.

He’s working thoroughly in the existing social and cultural contexts he’s familiar with, so his recommendations occasionally irritated me through the capitalistic/productivity-focused reference points he used, and there were also a few comments on neuroatypical brains that bugged me.

On the whole, though, well-researched and overflowing with useful and clearly expressed information about a biologically essential part of human life.

Also, BRAINS. 🤓
