I grabbed this because it was, supposedly, a murder mystery. It wasn't.
Oh, yes, there is a murder but there is no real mystery. And the characters are... plain and boring. There is no romance, either. Which wouldn't be a problem for me except it should have been one; it says so in the blurb: romantic mystery standalone. But I didn't see it, at all.
Oh, well, I think I will stick to the Maxwell Thornton mysteries and stop digging into the author's backlist :P
