Alright guys I promised you a review on the second book in The Sacred Stones series and here it is! In A Promise of Peridot we are back with Arwen immediately after the events of book 1 (A Dawn of Onyx). She spends the majority of this story coping with some tragic events and there is a quest for a magical weapon. There is something really cozy about coming back to a familiar story with characters we already know. There were some less than perfect moments like the love triangle between Kane, Arwen, and a new character Federik that feels very forced. And in general that is my biggest complaint. A lot of things feel very forced and every emotion is described with huge intensity. The effect of this is that you never really feel the story climax - with that said I gave this one 3 stars. I still think it’s an enjoyable read and who knows I might read book 3 (A Reign of Rose) in October just to see how this story comes to an end. ⭐️❤️
