Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth

Darling Girls is labeled as a “thriller”, but I would call it a mystery at best. It’s an okay read, interesting plot, and pretty decent characters, but NOT a thriller.

To be a thriller a book must have action, and this had none. The 3 main characters didn’t even do much towards solving the “mystery”. The plot was more about their lives, past and present, while other characters were in the background solving the mystery.

The author tried to throw a thriller like curveball in the last few paragraphs of the book. It was sloppy in my opinion and served no actual purpose.

I know most reviewers go thru what happens in the book while they’re reviewing, but honestly there’s not much I can add from the blurb on the back of the book.
