it was okay. i didn't really like the ending much; to me it didn't fit with the rest of the narrative and felt like a cop-out. the characters were interesting enough. i would probably read again if/when i reread the hunger games series. 3.75/5

read #2: when you really pay attention, the details are so intricate and well placed. i saw how the ending fit this time around and how complicated it all was. it is also a good experience with the songs from the movie. 4/5
