I tried reading this book back when I was a teenager but quit like 10 pages into it, decided to give it another shot when I got the book from my friend.
Not surprisingly, the beginning is tough, but once the book gets going, it really shows you why it's a classic. Great book! Definitely something I'll be reading again just for the crazy characters and dialogue and the last scenes of the book.
In many ways reminded me of Peter Handke's "A Moment of True Feeling".
