This book was a light-hearted, at times cringe worthy and short sighted, but overall average read. While I was excited to read an adaptation of one of my favorite Jane Austen novels, I was at times afflicted with second hand embarrassment at the wordplay on the character names and some of the lines of the characters and the stereotypical aspects of the Pakistani upper-class. At the same time, the book provided a lot of nostalgia of Lahore and made me reminisce the weddings in Pakistan with the introductory chapters. I also really enjoyed the literary allusions which really helped me develop a reading list of classics.
