A decently entertaining fantasy adventure. The dual POVs can be very hit or miss and unfortunately in this case they were mostly a miss for me, especially with the timeline not being chronological the whole way through. The pacing was also all over the place in my opinion, which is why certain character deaths kinda just came and went.
I did like Simon though, he's a cutie.
Rielle could have been interesting, but ended up just being a whiny girl horny for her hot dude friend and Eliana suffered from the same Not Like The Other Girls syndromr as Lila Bard. But at least Eliana wasn't as bad as fucking Lila and I ended up even somewhat liking her in the end. But nah. Won't be continuing with this trilogy.
