“I want to be happy too. Or at least not completely miserable.”

Since a heartbreak in college, Oliver promised to himself he would never mix his personal and professional life again. Gavin knows his career is soon to be over, his body aches in every possible way, and cannot imagine living with someone who still has to live what he would soon lose.
One’s boundaries begin when the other’s end. Yet, designed to lead their soccer team together, they will be forced to collaborate.

This was another great book in that series. It was probably my least favourite one, but only because it really focused on the sport, and consequently spoke to me a bit less (age difference isn’t my preferred trope either). It was a very nice trip anyway, where the concept of mourning beforehand was truly interesting. C.L. definitely knows very well how to picture human’s feelings, from their lowest to their highest. Even if Aiden’s anxiety looked more like what I personally experienced too much, the way Oliver’s panic attacks are detailed (and two specific scenes) were truly remarkable, as how Gavin deals with his bound to happen loss. How they gradually bound and learn to trust, then to love each other was a delightful journey once again.
The Bergman Brothers series has truly become the #1 contemporary romance in my heart!
