As I was writing my PRO/CON list, I realized that this book had way more cons than pros. Let us begin:
CONS:
-I didn’t read it for 2 years because I thought it was 100% historical fiction, which, despite being a history major, I find abhorrent
-not enough good guys die for this to be believable
-unrealistically portrays politicians as moral beings
-doesn’t have enough racist old men. Because let’s be real, the society that bore the KKK would have SO many racist old men
-Cotton just happened to be taught every skill needed to complete the mission-no matter how obscure
-Secret Gov contract service sounds like a condom brand
