(I must preface this by saying I did not read the synopsis and went in blind) By chapter 3 I was ready to declare this one my least favorite and was probably only going to rate it 4 stars. But then I finished it and OMG. So the reason I felt as I did was because this novella doesn't focus on just one single story the way the first 2 do. Chih is traveling with a group this time and the stories are coming up as conversations to pass the time. I didn't like how at first we're not given any stories consistently, constantly getting interrupted or rushed due to a change in storyteller. However, it all really came together in the end, with the focus of this book being that A) not everyone will tell the same story the same way, B) that some stories aren't meant to be shared, and C) some stories are much more connected than one might think.
