Love in the Time of Serial Killers
by Alicia Thompson
I’m all for character development (in fact, I love character driven books) and clearly Phoebe was figuring herself out etc etc but if you’re going to have so much focus of that aspect of the story in what is supposed to be a contemporary romance book then the book needs to be longer so that there is actually contemporary romance. Where was the romance??? They had like 2/3 interactions and all of sudden they’re both head over heels but they had barely spoken. Confused.com I’ll be honest.
Such a good concept with so much potential but I really feel like at this point I would’ve enjoyed it more if he had actually turned out to be serial killer…
