The Messy Lives of Book People by Phaedra Patrick
3.0

So this wasn't a top 10 favorite book I have read, even though I am drawn to any book that uses the word book in its title. Quirky thought - but it's true. I have too many books in my library with the word book in the title.

So the book was okay - but the struggles the character experienced are very relatable, like being disillusioned with our lives and feeling underestimated.

I view the books I read as reflections on real life and our struggles. So in context, when I am able to walk in another person's shoes - be it fictional characters, it helps me gain insight into my behaviors and the behaviors of others.

I help people change their behaviors and overcome difficult situations by teaching them life skills. As a Master Health Coach - being able to walk in the shoes of another while they felt their life story was not what they had intended it to be was valuable.

The story was so so, but the life skills were valid to recognize, like disillusionment, not living your life's values, and self-doubt, to name a few.
