I wish I could rate this book higher than a 5. It was fantastic. With a beginning that thrusts you right into the action. 9 Strangers wake up in a mysterious location, armed with only an off-brand Gameboy they each begin the game. As the game progresses the characters either progress or digress throughout. The book follows Fujiki and soon after the beginning of the game, Ai becomes his partner during the game. With some crazy plot twists, and some very unsettling imagery, this book was a great fast paced read. Highly recommended to fans of The Running Man, The Hills Have Eyes, Red Rising, and Battle Royale.
