Fun Read!
This was such a fun story. I got lost in this book before even finishing the first chapter. Even though this is book two in the series, it stands on its on. We do get to see Jace and Ryan (from the first book), because they work with Lux. We also see Lux’s other coworkers. There were some events that I have a feeling may lead into that character’s book, but I believe the author will write it in such a way that it stands on its own, too. That said, both book one, and this one, are very much worth reading.
I adored Lux and Drew. I loved the way they felt at ease around each other, even when they were just barely talking. You could feel the energy between them. The shift felt natural, and even as things progressed, nothing felt rushed or forced.
I have read a few books by this author, before, but it’s been a minute. I had forgotten how well they weave a story. Once you’re in, you’re all in. It completely captivates you and leaves you smiling by the end. Everything flowed really well throughout the whole book. I cannot wait to see what’s next.
