I don't know if this book should have been a standalone or if the duology is best enjoyed when binged back-to-back but overall this finale really underwhelmed me.
I LOVED Gearbreakers, the first book in this duology, but this one just felt like the same things were happening over and over again and I got really bored of it. Don't get me wrong, I love Zoe Hana Mikuta and all of the awful things she puts her characters through, but I think this could have been shorter or perhaps the whole series just should have been one long book. I understand why it was two, especially with the way book one ended it definitely built suspense and got me excited for this book, but like I said, I was just really disappointed.
