Literally everyone I talk to LOVES this book and I’m mad with myself that I don’t get it.  This book bored me throughout the first half and the second half was predictable.  There were lots of metaphors- some in your face, some subtle but uninteresting.  I thought the plot was unique and the last chapter was emotional, however the pacing issues and lack of any real rise or fall in the story ultimately left me unsatisfied.  I feel like this could have been a better short story or novella.
