klwest21 's review for:
Firekeeper's Daughter
by Angeline Boulley
There's so much I loved about this book! I really hope Angeline Boulley keeps writing, because I want to see what she comes up with next.
Here a few of the items I really liked about the book:
1) Takes place in the UP of MI (fun to read about places I had been before)
2) Has a whipsmart female athlete at the center -go female hockey players
3) Tackles a lot of tough issues confronting tribal communities
4) Strongly embraces nature
5) Love the community of elders and their support for Daunis
6) Murder mystery
If any of this piques your interest, definitely check it out.
I listened to the audiobook version and enjoyed it.
