The Chemistry of Love by Sariah Wilson

3.0

Marco is the reason for the three stars. I absolutely loved him. Anna on the other hand! I like strong female characters but I’m fine with tragic backstories or some wavering self doubt because hey, we’re all human. Anna is not that. Even though she’s supposed to be super smart and great at her job, I couldn’t stand that in front of a guy who hardly knows she exists, she’s reduced to a bumbling, fumbling mess. It dragged on way too long. I enjoy an insta-love trope, but declaring your love after one conversation and then still being “in love” after years with no further advancement in your relationship is a bit much. Still, I loved Marco and his patience and for that, it was eventually a good read.
