I love this series because its just fun and makes you think about what makes a person a person and not just humanity. This is the second Alex book and I have to say he's really grown on me. In this installment he's totally out of his environment and watching him try to navigate in an alien world is kind of neat. Werewolves have been done to death in my opinion but the fact that in this world horses and other large mammals could turn to wolves was really unique and didn't make me want to put it down right away at the mention of lycanthropy.
