3.75

Torn between a 3.5-3.75. Chronically binge-able, despite being slightly cringe at times. Such a fun concept, and it had me in tears at one point near the end.

With that being said, I found the dialogue to be clunky at times. Adam didn't really talk like a human, let alone a 17-year-old at the beginning. I wish we were shown more than we were told about the chemistry between Adam/Alli, it was not fleshed out nearly as much as I think was needed. Also, could not care less about fountain pens.

All and all though, I had a fun time. I have been wanting to read this for years since hearing Ariel talk about it on the Books Unbound podcast, so I am excited to have finally tackled this "mashed potato" book as they would call it on the pod.
