Pablo Neruda weaves his words into seamless tapestries of nature. His poems are quite like Virgina Woolf's style but is accentuated with his own choppy rhythm. I actually don't like the first half of the poems since they could be nonsensical sometimes but I guess, this is Neruda's style. However, the latter half were my absolute favorites and especially the Song of Despair. I seldom read poetry since I think its like an intimate diary of an author and sometimes I can't just appreciate it. This book also features simple sketches of a women's profile and sometimes couples making love.

P.S. I only read this book since it was read by a YA character, I actually forgot who he/she is and from what book XD
