Most of the book is character work. At least half is gathering the crew. Amina is for sure an interesting FMC, (shes a strong 40-yr old mother, with a bad knee, and a reformed pirate). i wish to see more of this.
Other than that the story is kinds silly, especially in the second part. Def a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming, but looking back at them eeeeehhhh…a little silly.
Raksh is definitely the best part of the story, but his character is not as strong as Amina’s. I also wish we got more action from the rest it the crew, bcs there was so much character work just so we can have them in the background.
