I absolutely love a best friends to lovers, and this one is a phenomenal one. Nate and Zach are peak "BFFs but everyone else can see theyre more than that," which is such a delicious option. I love having religious rep in books, and the causal Jewish representation in the form of Nate's family's Hannukah party was really nice. I was yelling at my book for much of the middle (folks who don't like miscommunication, this one is full of it!) but I truly loved the way this wrapped up. I also appreciated the depiction of anxiety within the book, both with Nate's lifelong experience, Zach's more short term experience of it, and then how they help a teammate navigate poorly managed anxiety.
