Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
4.0

I enjoyed this book, it's a quick read and entertaining.
As a murder mystery / psychological thriller I didn't feel it covered much new ground but I don't think I've read many books which so aptly illustrate the intensity of female teenage friendships. A friend of mine (who incidentally was a close friend as a teenager) commented that those teenage friendships are more like falling in love. Maybe I don't read enough YA books and this topic is covered widely but for me it added a new dimension to the boy/girl, man/woman central relationships. I don't think it would have worked as well if the characters were older - it's a teenage girl phenomenon..
I would not necessarily recommend the book to younger teens due to the topics (sex, drugs, drinking, murder) but it's not graphic or too disturbing.
