Home Is Where You Are by Melissa Grace

5.0

I keep reading books with badass heroines and I’m loving it so much!

I adored Jax and Liv right from the start and the amazing friendship they developed throughout the story. Let me tell you, I know so many Livs —I know I was her— Powerful and talented women that have been seeing themselves in the eyes of people who never appreciated who they really are, and when they finally realize their worth, they get caught up in the lie that it’s too late for what they want. And I know so many Jax, people who have been wandering in life looking for the place where they belong, a family to come home to, a person to miss when they’re far away.

We all deserve a Jax in our lives, someone who sees the perfection in our imperfections and encourages us to be ourselves without apologizing or making excuses for it. We all deserve a Liv in our lives, someone whose arms are always open for us to run to whenever we need a home to go back to.

This book is about finding yourself, about finding love and friendship. This story is about doing what you love and the inspiration that comes when the right person is proud of who you are and what you have to give to the world.

This quote moved me to tears: «He encourages you to do the things you love instead of shoving them out of sight like they’re something to be ashamed of.»

Real love makes us believe in ourselves, because it believes we can. Real love fuels the flame in our hearts, it doesn’t extinguish it.

I’m reading this book again and I can’t wait for the next book to come out, because this gang stole my heart and I want to know how they’re all doing!
