I’ve liked all of Wells writing before this, but I just couldn’t get into this one. There wasn’t enough explanation of the world or magic powers until it felt way late. I couldn’t connect to the characters. Also, the world with all the genocides was just way too damn sad for me. Overall, it wasn’t for me I guess. 🤷♀️
