The Burnout Society by Byung-Chul Han

4.0

We find ourselves subject to achievement, an epochal shift from the society of discipline familiar to any reader of Foucault - or most people, in fact. The consequences: the distresses and derangements of positivism, self exploitation, and social atomization.

Does the shoe fit? Too well. Too, too well.

On a minor note, I quite enjoy that Han frequently takes pains to point out how other philosophers are wrong. It's a petty habit that becomes quite the stylistic tic.
