Prelude to Foundation by Isaac Asimov
2.0

The more and more foundation books Asimov wrote the worse and worse they got. If you are looking for cool scifi ideas, there is very little here, just a little bit about the politics and logistics of an ecumenopolis like Trantor. The characters are as thin and act as randomly as ever. The weird intellectual debates about scoeity and history are forced, clunky, and very repetitive. Reading this makes me wonder if the author had ever talked to humans before, and the relationship dynamics between men and women through the books just feels really weird... just very weird, kinda uncomfortable.
