Where the Stars Meet the Sea by Heidi Kimball
3.0

I see where this was trying to go and all the potential was there, but Halstead and Juliet hardly spent any time together. 80% of the book was her interactions with people other than Halstead. When they were together, they took one tiny minuscule step forward and then a huge leap back right after. Rinse and repeat the entire book. I was left really wondering if they loved each other or were just bored and infatuated.

On the other hand, there was Robert who loved Juliet and was totally transparent and steady in his affections. When the person the FMC isn’t supposed to end up with is the person she sees and speaks with the most, the one who treats her the best, and the one who is best suited for her it’s incredibly frustrating. This could have been great, but it fell super flat.
