Steel Princess

Devils can’t be redeemed.
Devils can only crash and burn.
He said he’ll destroy me, and he did.
It’s time I destroy him back.
So I pretty much only put myself through this book so that I will understand the plot for the KimXander and SilverCole books because I have basically no interest in Aiden and Elsa. I don’t even know why they aggravate me so much, but they do, and that made reading this book pretty painful. Okay, that was a lie because I sort of know what I don’t like about them. It’s the TOXICITY. Their relationship is just way too messed-up and at this point, I should admit defeat and stop reading rivals to lovers books because I just can’t with them.
“Monsters are born.”
“As they grow up, they either deny it or fully embrace it, but it doesn’t change what they are.”
I am mildly interested in the plot and excited for Elsa to discover what actually happened, but I’m so confused that the confusion sort of overshadows the interest? At this point I can’t even say more until I process all the details we gained in the last 20% of this book.
Anyways that cliffhanger took me by surprise and leaves a lot of untied strings to be answered by the next book, particularly about who the mystery person was and why Knox was with him. And what’s going on with Silver and Aiden? We’ll see, I guess…
