The Thursday Murder Club
by Richard Osman
I was so disappointed with this book. I read it because I want to watch the Netflix adaptation.
As someone who lives near where this book is allegedly set I can tell you that the locations don't make sense. The one that annoyed me most, if your starting point is Kent, you wouldn't travel to St Leonards and Ashford International to get to Folkestone. I can't work out if Richard Osman never actually researched the area he was writing about or if this book was ghostwritten and he never read the final product.
And what was with all the uses of the word 'says'? There are other words to portray that someone has said something.
I definitely will not be reading the next books in the series.
