The life of an aspiring Instagram influencer ... while I enjoy using Instagram and seeing what people are up to, I can't understand how someone would want to make a life out of it. In this novel, we see the struggle of someone who wants to, and would lie and manipulate to make it happen. This novel follows Izzy's struggle to get back to herself and be with the man she loves.

The beginning was really slow I thought, but there were some great comic moments as well, and some cringe-worthy embarrassing ones. It was fun and easy to read, but not as good as some of the other chic lit style romances I've read recently.

The focus on Izzy's grief for her brother, Ben, is beautifully done, and demonstrates why she is so certain she wants to be an influencer. Her grief highlights the differences between the men in her life - Luke and Aiden - and how each one approaches the issue completely differently with Izzy. It's haunting in places as she relives the night she met Aiden, the night she learned her brother had died.

Izzy seems to be stuck while everyone around her is moving on, which I can totally empathise with and maybe that's why this book did chime a chord with me.
