Awful. Ridiculous. Terrible. Fucking loved it!!

I’ve been sick and miserable and completely disinterested on reading this last week and I took solace in my comfort zone: monster movies. The Meg was, of course, one of these comfort flicks and for the first time I noticed it was based on a book. When I discovered there was indeed a series of books AND that they were cheap in iBooks, well, I just had to do it you see. And I am so glad I did.

Truthfully this book is probably more a 3 star, maybe even less, if we’re assessing it on quality. The writing isn’t great, the dialogue corny and stilted, the plot is more stretched than Elastagirl. But it has the it factor you need when you’re (a) sick and (b) depressed. It was so funny and ridiculous and stupid and I just loved it.

If you decide to read this - and frankly I think you should - I suggest doing what I did not and making up a drinking game. 1 shot for every time “ampullae of lorenzini” is written (on second thought don’t you might die).
