Someone Is Always Watching by Kelley Armstrong

4.0

Well then. Look, I know it’s no secret that I am a Kelley Armstrong fangirl now. I’ve had this on my list since it came out, but shied away from it since it seemed more of a YA read. I don’t dislike YA of course - some of my favorite books are YA…it just seemed like it might be more fluffy than I’d like it to be.

How wrong I was. This is gritty, tense, dark, and bloody. I can see the pearl-clutching already with the generous use of swearing and violence, but it didn’t feel forced or out of place here.

Give me a plot line with psychological terror, conspiracies, and secrets and you have my attention. Execute it as well as Armstrong has, and you REALLY have my attention.

I know a lot of reviews weren’t favorable because folks felt it was unrealistic something like this could go on (….have you SEEN how things are these days?? It doesn’t really seem out of the realm of possibility for this to happen in my opinion…)

I did not want to stop reading this - I had to force myself to put it down and try to sleep, but even then my mind was racing with piecing the story together and wondering what kind of twist was going to happen next.
