I am usually a “plot driven” book fan. I like stories that immediately sweep me away in action with characters that keep me invested. This story wasn’t that. Well, it was but it was so much more. Elantris is FAR more character driven than plot driven but that doesn’t make the story any less than other Epic Fantasies. The characters of Elantris feel like family now, after I’ve gotten the chance to live in their minds and recognize their drives. This story should be devoured. I loved it.
